While stripping my 24 v donor i've found a red box on the boot bulkhead with two multiplugs. Is this the dreaded immobiliser? If it is, it looks like i'll be ringing around for aftermarket management sooner than i expected. Can anybody confirm this.

The standard immobiliser is a BOSCH 9 330 065 192 (Made in Australia) and is usually in a yellow box. It has an 8 pole AMP connector to the wiring loom and a 3 pole to the antenna around the ignition switch. It would have been mounted on the dash close to the ignition switch.

From Alfa Forum:
"Check on the drivers-side rear wheelwell in the trunk for the Alarm ECU (beneath the felt). " Don't know which continent he drivs on, but you've only 2 sides to choose from!

Think you've answered my query Chris. I looked closely at the ignition switch and there was nothing surrounding it. When i get time i'll check thro the wiring diagram and see if it shows up there. Perhaps i could reuse it?
