I need to remove these front indicators for painting, but can't see how.
I can see from the inside that they're held on by 2 screws, but the glass and the silver coloured trim just spin and don't screw off. I'm reluctant to start levering at bits with a screwdriver. Anybody recognise them and know how they work?

Hi Chris,
look like Mini items to me. They are held on by the rubber and should prise off very easily. Getting near to painting now? Abingdon this year?

Suspension & brakes on, windscreen out :) . still some wiring & the interior to do.
And spend money on paint/tyres/windscreen :(
And make it all work.
Hmmm, not this year.

If they are like mine you have to twist the grey bulb holder on the rear to get the glass off. No Idea what they were for originally, they just looked right and came with Amber bulbs......now with LED sidelight inside too!

only just noticed the round front indicators.
How come some cars were fitted with round and some with rectangular lights?
I have seen photos of both types fitted to original cars.
Is it just another case of Lancia using what they had in stock at the time?
Cheers

Hi Tim
The group 4 cars had the round ones and a brake cooling duct hole / mesh where the fog lights are on the Stradale.

The stradale used the rectangular indicator units from the Fiat Dino Coupe with either clear or orange lenses depending on market.
The Group 4 cars use a Carello lamp that is very similar to the Lucas mini one with a clear glass lense (not plastic). The original fitment for this unit was the Alfa 101 Guilia Spider as far as I can tell but it has appeared on lots of other cars since. The most recent being the Innocenti Mini - not surprising they used this as it is like the Lucas one!
