The two Transformers that I've owned have had the screen bonded to the fibreglass with some non cure type of sealer/adhesive/dum dum, or whatever you want to call it? With a one piece alloy finisher bonded on top (to make it look nice). I think a rubber strip was used on later kits, but it wouldn't actually HOLD the screen in place, it's just to make a tidy job.

Agreed with Chris! The screen has to be bonded in and any competent screen fitting company can do this for you. There is an aluminium trim to cover the outside edges of the screen. If Gerry doesn't have it Grahem Bates MAY have some old stock. Failing that Woolies keep the right section material but it has to be cut and bent very carefully to shape and welded in the corners. You CAN use a section of rubber to seal it but it will never look as neat.
