Actually, I only need the rubber dust caps/seals intact.

Othewise, does anyone know a supplier for lower Fiat ball joints. Are 132 ball joints the same as 124/125s?

I think I just got mine at Halfords or maybe Partco... Fiat 132 std units
My uprights came off a 132 though.

Fiat 124 and Fiat 132 are different. The spacing of the three holes is slightly different, and the "Ball" is slightly larger on the 132.

Thanks Andy. Yes, my stubs are from a 132 (Fiat Dinos are the same).

Thanks Dave. 132 ball joints it is then.

Guys,

Does the Hawk use Fiat 132 ball joints? I was told Fiat 124 lower ball joints. That's what I bought, and the mounting bolt pattern fit the lower control arm without difficulty.

Oh no, I'm confused now?

I've just had a look at the build manual, and it only mentions 132 parts.

The Fiat 124 and 132 parts are identical. Incidentally, exactly the same as the Fiat Uno....... Chances are most Fiat ball joints are the same - if a design works why vary it? Economies of scale you see....

Not when I bought them from the local factors. They had different part numbers in their catalogue - can't remember the supplier now, and definitely the hole patterns were very slightly different - wasn't much, I think about 1/8 inch.

I only know about both because my Allora originally used Fiat 124 stub axles and I changed them to the slightly larger Fiat 132 stub axles when I redesigned the front suspension, and as I decided to fit new ball joints while I was on, the Fiat 132 units wouldn't fit the holes on the TCAs.

David,

What's a TCA? Not familiar with that acronym.

TCA - Track Control Arm
The bottom arm that your lower balljoint mounts to.

So, to answer the original question - Fiat 124 and 132 ball joints might not be the same, but you'd want the Fiat 124 part to fit to a replica, regardless.
