Am I correct in assuming that 284mm vented front disks will require 15in wheels and that 260mm vented disks will fit in 14inch wheels?
Guess the reasoning is Alfa 164 twin spark front calipers with HF integral 4 stud V disks and 14 inch wheels
or
Alfa 164 V6 front calipers with HF integral 4 stud V disks and 15 inch wheels.

Hi Shaun
I have 284mm discs + hi spec 4 pots and am assured they will fit under my 14 inch wheels
Having said that I have not tried them as yet

You could be right. I offered up a 14inch 5 spoke revolution to an Alfa 284mm disc/caliper and there is just room but only just. The wheel offset does cause the caliper to foul on the spokes though. Actually offset is not the correct term, lack of very big spacers could be more apt but technically incorrect.
Not sure I can face spending all that money on four pots, not having built the car, SVA'd it and a MSA log book.

Hi Shaun
Not much tyre choice for competing in 14 inch. Are you planing on getting 15 inch at all?

Yep, one day but I just happen to have some 14inch wheels that fit the replica and almost my beta. Looks like it will be std 132/montecarlo brakes for the front for now.

Shaun,
You can fit 305mm disc with the brembo 4 pot caliper inside the new Hawlk "Stratos" 15" rims.
