Steering column

This is a question for the taller people!

Has anybody re angled the steering column to make it more like a go kart position. From the pics in the various books they look to be steeper, making the wheel higher and flatter,sort of?

I have quite a long back and measure over six foot, trying to find a position thats comfy and still being able to get in and out is becoming difficult.Bubbles in the roof are a no no and so is drastic surgery to my bod.

Any thoughts?

Yes, I had to do this when I first built the car as the seat was too thick. Ended up with a wedge shaped adapter to drop the back further that the front which effectively raised the wheel. It's abou to go in the bin unless you want it?
