Just placed my order with Gerry this week for a HF 2000/3000 Gp 4 so I shall be looking for some help and advice in the near future. Plan to start with a Beta twin cam as I have found a complete SORN car with a tuned engine on 40 DCOEs just 2000 miles since professional rebuild, the rot got the rest of it. Might later go 164 3 litre as Gerry will supply mounting for both on the chassis.
If anyone has got an SVA manual they dont want I would be happy to buy it off them, plus where do you source Fiat 132 hubs( I'll buy the uprights from Gerry). The next bits I'm struggling with is instruments, are there any Fiat speedos and rev counters out there for the standard dash or is it all aftermarket? Only got 12 weeks to wait so lots of time to spend too much money

Hi and welcome to the site David and congratulations on joining the Stratos owning community!
First off, when you get the Lancia Beta make sure that you get the V5 which will help with registration and get a receipt from the seller. I'm sure that you'll know what parts to keep from the Beta, they are all listed in the build manual. If you don't have a set of wheels ordered with the kit I would strongly recommend the coffin spoke wheels for the Gp4 car and that means 5 stud hubs. again, Gerry can supply these for the front and you'll need Integrale hubs for the rear, all 5 stud obviously.
Instruments aren't a problem at all. The Fiat 124 gauges are readily available through Ebay, usually ex Fiat Spider from the States. I may have a set spare lying around if you get desperate!

David,

I second Guy's recommendation to go 5-stud, if you can afford it. If you are set on going 4-stud, have you asked Gerry if he can supply the 132 hubs as well? If he can't, pehaps one of the other members of the forum can. I think there have been a few cars converted to 5-stud since the coffin spoke wheels became available.

I've a set of the front hubs going. Complete with virtually unused discs/calipers too if required.

Hi David
Congrats on your recent purchase, I sent a pair of front discs and front + rear callipers to Northampton from Inverness last week weight about 22 kg cost £21.
I may have some spare 124 instruments if you get really stuck but as guy says ebay is a good source
good luck with the build

Lancia Beta. Use the Lancia inner CVs, and either Lanci Beta outers if you're using 4-stud hubs, or Integrale if using 5-stud hubs. Check you get the right Integrale CVs though It partly depends on you're Hawk hub-carriers and how the bearings are held in to this (Lancia Screw retainer or circlip in a groove) Search the old threads for "CV joints".
I am having to get my outer cvs machined to fit at the moment, even though the bits I've got were supposed to be compatible. As Catswhiskers said elsewhere, "Welcome to the frustrating world of Stratos building"
