Hello All,

I've been lurking on the forum for a while & hope to own a stratos rep one day (when I've finished my currnet projects!)

I recentley went on a tour of Modena, Italy & when looking around a very impressive private collection I spotted this Original Stratos, 'lurking' at the back!

Apparentley it has covered only 99 km from new & the reading on the clock would justify this. However it appears to have been unused for many years & to be honest is looking a little scruffy for such a 'new' car.

I have a few pictures & have been trying to post in the gallery but I get an error message & am also unable to attatch pictures to this thread, if anyone can give me some pointers I'd like to share the photos.

Regards to all

Welcome Julian,

There seems to have beena problem with the gallery for a while. I'm sure David will get to it when he can spare some time.

Meantime, you can attach smaller images (max 500 pixels wide) to a normal forum post if you choose the advanced option when you compose...

...lets see 'em :)

What Julian,

You went round Modena and missed mine - one of the 4 Stratos replicas in Italy! (OK, Concordia is 40kms out in the country, but takes no time in a Stratos!) If you had passed by on the 9th October you would have caught two of them out comparing notes!

Hello Julian and welcome,

Can I please ask you to mail me the pictures at: tryphon@rallycars.com
You wouldn't happen to know the chassis number by any chance?

Many Stradale cars have been left unused and garaged mainly for price appreciation reasons. However such cars will need total rebuilds in order to be useable and this has to be taken into account when they appear on the market. I know of a very low mileage car that recently change hands in Italy for around 100K euros. It might be the one you saw.

Cheers,
Tryphon

OK, just had another go at posting the pictures, I get the response 'max file size 500 X 0 pixels'

?? don't get it!

Tryphon, I 'll mail you the pictures privately.

Open the image in your favourite editing package then reduce it's width to 500 pixels (or less). Height is free so you can maintain the aspect ratio. I think there is a 120k size limit as well so you may want to reduce the JPEG quality a bit.

Nice one Julian.
Cant help thinking that those carpets look like they've done more than 99km though. I think I read somewhere that as Strat's were finished they had to be stored in a yard somewhere near the Betone plant due to lack of space. I suppose it could have been muddy?

Cheers.
Mick

The numbers are all out of line - isn't that a sign of clocking?

I have to say, those were my thoughts but I didn't feel comfortable suggesting it.
I suppose there's no reason why 'clocking' should be the exclusive domain of the home market.

Mick

There are many cars with such mileage numbers. Low mileage does not commend higher prices. Very high mileage migh commend lower prices though...
