It's not a Hawk or Transformer, Chris.

It's either an Allora, or Corse.

It has to be an Allora then. Look at the fuel filler location.
In same place as a Hawk / Transformer.
Location on the Corse is not in the rear section - it is further foreward in the mid section between door and rear section.

Cheers

Now there is an interesting find. I'd say the front end is too "curvy" for a Hawk. It is possibly a corse, a long time ago I spoke to someone about registering replicas in france and he told me his would be for sale soon. That was at least 2 years ago and he wouldn't say how he avoided the registration technicalities. It shows 1969 as the reg date, that is strange. I can not help myself and will give him a call tomorrow.

How could you tell that? I was going by the fuel filler position.

Chris R.

The two clues I noticed were:

The way that the very front middle part of the bodywork (just above the grill) ends in a pronounced point. I say pronounced but it's not THAT obvious.

After I'd seen that, I'm looking at the one piece front louvres just to make sure.

But having said that, I couldn't tell just from the photo that you've attached, I had to look at the other ones that you gave a link to.

That's not necessarily so - it would have depended on the builder.

Both my Allora and my Corse have the fuel filler in the location shown in the picture.
