View Full Version : Dampers or srepmad?

Does it matter which way up the shocks go at the front? It looks like it'll be easier to get at the adjuster if I fit them upside down.
It also looks like I'll need to grind a little off the top of the front lower 'TCA' to clear the damper body if I want to use it the right way up and use the lower mounting hole - anybody else had to do this?

Some original cars had/have them upside down.

Also lowers unsprung weight by a small amount.

i think it depends on the design of the damper, Twin Tube No, mono tube Yes. Theres a feature in this in Retro Car (Sept 04)
