It has been more than a year since I asked about the HFs that are being built in the US. Anyone know what the status of the builds is? I was supposed to go by and look at one in PA while I was working in CT last year, but never made it there.

Alan,

Work has been suspended on my car, owing to the rather foolish purchase of a Lancia Scorpion, followed immediately by an accident that nearly totalled my Camaro. Both have diverted time and resources from the build. The Camaro is now fixed, and the Scorpion is next on the list.

As it stands now, the Stratos is in the same condition as last fall. The doors are hung, all of the suspension is installed, holes have been drilled for all body openings, the bootlid and headlight doors are fitted, seats have been installed (and removed) the radiator has been fitted, steering rack and halfshafts have been rebuilt, and the parking brake lever has been installed. The steering column is still being held in place by a couple of clamps.

I plan on resuming work on the Stratos as soon as the Scorpion is ovehauled and put back on the road. As before, if you're in the Philadelphia area (or within a resonable drive in the Northeast) feel free to call. I'm always up for showing off the Stratos.

Hi all - will post more later but the short answer for me is that there has only been little progress lately on the Stratos. I guess I just decided that I'd rather get stuff done right and slowly than wrong and quickly.
