Has anyone used the Spesso head gaskets on their Stratos engine? Are they better than stock Dino Ferrari gaskets?

Can't speak for Dino engines - sadly  - but I've only used Spesso on my various Fiat/Lancia twincams over the years and, despite serious attempts to do so  - have never succeeded in blowing one up.
In my view, the dogs danglies

I've heard the Elring head gaskets should be available soon. They are worth the wait as they are a time tested head gasket. Spesso may be OK but with all the work involved I don't want to speculate. Some engines I have seen rebuilt have corrosion at the head gaskets (visible as a crystalline crust where the head and block meet) as well as other gasketed areas because they use inferior materials. This may not be the case with Spesso but I would certainly check it out thoroughly before doing a rebuild.

Randle,
You seem to know a lot about the Stratos, do you own one? Do you know where the Elring head gaskets are being manufactured. Maybe I could call them.
I would like to figure out what to do soon.

Randle has posted I have one of the Gartrac tubs and those guys did an unbelievable job. I would say it is less than 5% different than my two original cars and then in only is the smallest of ways.
I'm sooooo jealous!

I believe Elring is a German company. T Rutlands in Atlanta said he should have them before long. They have a website.
