The excellent and most informative site on all things Stratos www.stratosmania.com has been closed and it seems this is definite.
There's a website upgrade notice on the main page but previously the only available page was stating that the author had decided to give up the site for no specific reason.
Too bad as I know of no other so complete source of information on the Internet.

Tryphon,
If you have an email address of the webmaster, I'll speak to them and try and get them to add there info to a section of the StratosSupersite, and that way the info will still remain available.

I took the liberty of copying the entire site content using a website copier back when it was still online.
This site was amazing, the guy had interviews with Gobbato, Gandini, Tonti, Munari, Carello, Pregliasco, Pinto, Francone and Facetti.
All these people gave information never published before anywhere, especially the drivers had a lot of amazing stories to tell.
I hope he can still be contacted at: info@stratosmania.com

You can get many copies of older web site content from 'The Wayback Machine'.
This now points to http://web.archive.org and allows entry of domain names or search criteria to try and find old content.
For example, stratosmania.com has entries from March 2003 through to October 2004.
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.stratosmania.com
A site that can come it quite useful if you think to try there for something you knew was once on the web...

That`s quite useful.
But has there ever been an English version? I could only find parts of Italian versions. My Latin from school isn`t very helpful for that. May be I should try some kind of these translation programs.
Very nice pictures though!

Translation available at http://babelfish.altavista.com
Not exactly ideal for reading web page content though but as well as pasted text it does allow input of a URL - wonder if that would work through the Wayback Machine links?

Thanks!
It works with the Wayback Machine indeed! But as the original Italian version is still/ or again available, you can use it directly.
At least this will get me an idea of the content.
Italian => English => German ;-)
