Aw cr#p!
Just rang the bloke who was to paint my car and he is giving up the trade. Should have got it done last year when he came and quoted me.
So, can anyone recommend a decent place not too far from Worcester??

I can recommend one in Widnes but it's only close in the map index............ Let me know if you get desperate!

Chris, I can recommend the guy who`s just painted my car. He`s in Amesbury, a bit far from Worcs. but he does classic car restoration and he charged me £1200 for prepping all the bodywork, trimming the shut lines, fitting gp4 arches and spraying it white with black spoilers. I recon that`s good value and worth the 2 hour drive. He`s also fairly quick.

I can recommend I guy near Witney, Oxfordshire if you need. He's just painted the centre section and door on my HF3000 after doing the chassis last year. Very good results at a good price ;) .

Chaps,
Thanks for the suggestions.
The Classic idea gave me a hint (thanks Jerry) and I have managed to find a local place to do the job. I was able to get some independant views on their work from some folk I know in the trade. When they called yesterday to look at the job, I was left feeling really optimistic about the sort of job they are going to do for me. Shame about the price but the practicality of a local painter is worth a bit to me I suppose...
The usual suspects round here only seemed to want insurance work....wonder why that might be??
Again, thanks for the ideas guys.
With luck and a following wind I should have my car ready for paint by the end of next weekend - hoorah!!
Chris (feeling a bit less miffed then normal...)
