Sump plug

Does anybody have a spare sump plug for a 12v v6 Alfa engine that they are willing to sell me,thanks.

Sure - but they are only a couple of quid form you local dealer! If you don'r have any luck there drop me a PM with your address and I'll send you one and let you know the price next time I'm passing an Alfa dealer.

I'll try my local alfa dealer but everytime i ask them for parts they ask for a chassis number.I want another plug cause i'm going to fit a temperature sender in it,so i thought i'd better get a spare just in case i cock it up.

Ahh...... The one I have uses a hex key to remove it - I bought it with the same intention as youself but there's no way I could work out how to fit it to this one, however, if you want me to send it I will and you can keep it for a spare and modify the original. One day I am going to remove the sump pan and weld a threaded boss to the front to take the correct sender and sort it that way.

You don't by chance know the size of the thread perhaps i can get an adaptor to replace the plug.

Sorry Paul, can't help there other than to say it's the standard Lancia Oil Temp sender unit so someone might know.

Definately! Never had any issues matching Fiat senders or Alfa for that matter to the Fiat 124 gauges!

Paul - do you have an oil temperature gauge? And if so, care to share the source as others are probably looking too!
