Thanks
Stephen:)

If you need the front hubs I can help with an old pair but if it's the stub axles then sorry! Bits are left over from my five stud conversion.

I'm cheap. Buy me a beer at Abingdon! Let me know if you want the old bearings and the locking tab washer as well! These parts are just scrap to me now although you may have to remove the old Alfa ABS rings experiment....

Stephen,

Fiat 132 ball joints top and bottom, which if I recall correctly are the same as Lada Riva.

Just had a thought though. My Allora originally had Fiat 124 stub axles and hubs, and used Fiat 124 ball joints, but I replaced them with Fiat 132 when I was changing my top wishbones.

The Fiat 132 stub axle is about 1inch taller than a Fiat 124 stub axle, so you could measure your stub axle and check it against a Fiat 132 measurement to confirm which is on your car.

As I recall the top arms were Lada , the ball joints which appear the same are very differant top to bottom as the bottom has a spring on it.
Dont mix.
The rack should be Chevette.
The hubs could either be the old type Fiat , Dave is refferring to or if off a later Lada will be the same as 132, Dave has already advised how to check which upright.

Changing to the common 132 is a straight swap and is prefferable as the bearings are easy to get from Partco or similar.

I have a couple of sets of uprights somewhere , Ive just thrown one set away!, never needed any spares, now what will happen!

Not sure on steering arms , never tied them down, worth looking at all of the above cars to see if you can identify them , the corse is differant

Incidently the Lada callipers are better than the Fiat as they were two pot,
But generally the 132 brakes on any thing other than normal road use are , not so good.
Bit of glorified bacon slicers.

An integrali disc drops straight on , then either princess calipers or a pair of 4 pots depending on your funds.

Princess give you cheep mintex competition pads , but are cast.

I rallied for years with them with no problem , service kits are also cheep.
Willwood have Dynalite on offer now at £79 each.

Give me a call tonight and bring me up to date on the rebuild, after 9 is best

The steering arms are Fiat 124 heated and straightened out a bit:rolleyes:

The top wishbone was Fiat 124.

Interesting Chris, Which particular reputation would that be?

And yes they did, mind you I had to buy the thing myself.

Stephen, not much in common with this thread but thought you might like to check out this site, my cars normaly get a test run up the runway when there is no flying.

Thanks for the cheque, the maps were not that expensive, I owe you some change.

While I think of it, what Lancia twincam parts do you have left?

Morning Shaun,
No change required I am grateful you took the time and trouble.

Twin cam parts. Complete 1800 engine as removed from the car good runner. Very suitable for post historic Beta coupe rally car.
I also have a 2L short engine with HC pistons and a standard cylinder head with valves but no cams (I Think).
Is the Airfeild near you?

Airfield is at the bottom of the garden as it were. Very good wave site but new Lyon airspace has restricted upper limit to around 5000M (I think) One day there will be a short special stage around the perimeter - when I get round to it!

I have another Beta as a stop gap before a Stratos - I have almost given up trying to purchase a ready built car, good ones sell quick, bad ones are bad and average ones go up 3 grand when two people are interested.

Think postage on bits would be a bit expensive but could be interested in HC pistons and head. What I really need is a complete head/carbs/cams.

As a thought for the 2005 Monte run, I will try and drive some stages with a gps and then the route can be plotted out in 3d - coll de Turini for example.
