Hi,
I went to view this car last night, so here's the key points.

This car is a 1994 registered Hawk HF2000 and was originally built by Graham Bates for Martin Clift who used it several times in Ralies and sprints before letting it become very intimate front on with a tree during a rally stage......

After some serious straightening by Gartrac, and replacement (upgrades) of the rear Leda's with Bilstein Struts and some brake upgrades, the car is now ready for a significant amount of front end re-building to make it roadworthy again...

The following are required:

- Front suspension Rebuild and alignment
- Front Brake and hub rebuild
- Front body work assembly and fitting
(Headlamp units, catches, etc.)
- Front chassis assembly
(Radiator connections, connect up wiring, etc.)
- Re-fit windscreen
- Re-fit Gear linkage and tidy up interior
- Re-start engine, and re-tune (probably seized.....)
- Minor bodywork patch ups and panel adjustment
- Total body Re-spray and livery....

Sounds like alot, but if someone is looking for a cheap way of getting a competition car for sprints and rallying, and has the time to do the work themselves, then this is a good buy.

If you're looking for a car that will be beautifully finished and a stunner, then this is not for you....

Finally, the seller (who is a very nice, geniune person and is unfortunately forced to sell the project) is offering lots of bits and peices to allow you to compete successfully with the car:

- Spare engines, geraboxes, LCD, etc.
- Hubs and discs, Pads, etc.
- 3 sets of wheels & tires

...and much, much, more....

So, I hope this helps, and if anybody wants to know more, please feel free to contact me....

Cheers, Nico/

I had a go in this car around Castle Coombe and it posted a pretty quick time two up and on worn inters - the engine was good for 240+ bhp I would think.

Hmmm, its tempting.

:D

I dont fancy the Honda lump though.

Does anyone have any idea how much the engines, gearboxes and other spares would be worth?
