Folks,
Browsing throught the autotrader website http://www.autotrader.co.uk looking for Lancias I came across an advert for a Hawk HF2000 centre tub/chassis including a rebuilt Lancia twincam for £1,800........ ok, there's no nose or by the looks of the piccies much else, also looks like it's been sat for a while but has to be worth considering?
It's for sale at TCR Independent Jaguar Specialists Tel. 02476 556200
No website url I'm afraid, but they do have a page on the Autotrader site so just search for Lancias all types under £2,000 and it's there.

I see it's being stored in a hedge. From experience of a car that was stored outdoors, there will be a lot of rust, and will need a lot of work. The powder coat and rust will need ground off and then rust treatment/undercoat topcoat. The areas under the bonded tub are totally inaccessible, and rust will continue to lurk, and worry you here. I don't think it is practical to remove the tub from the chassis to address this. I'm told that Waxoyl does not agree with glassfibre, which limits the options. The price paid should reflect the work needed to render this useable. Having said that , the rear body section must be worth a fair bit, as long as it's not blistering or deteriorated outside. Caveat Emptor!

I wasn't able to find the advertisement. Could someone post the direct link if they find it?
Thanks,
