If you can post a picture in the forum I will have a look around the kit car show this weekend. The oddest things can turn up at silly prices - like an Ammeter for £32 a couple of years ago!

You can still get them new. I bought a pair I think in Geneva when visiting Thomas. There is one on Ebay now for $29 though not sure the size is correct. My box says pt.no.MON25 Description Monza Alloy 32022000. Luigi made the neck it screws onto so you know it is correct. This is not the huge cap but the smaller one.

Hello Randle,
Is it 2" or 2.5" ?
Thanks,

It looks like you can get them new from Demon Tweeks. They are in the catalogue but I couldn't find them on the website! They are available in chrome on brass in 2" * 18TPI (monc2) £31.29, 2.5" * 16 TPI (Monc25) £37.24 or 2.75" * 16 TPI (monc275) £45.09.
The three sizes are also available in alloy at 35.63, £41.06,£44.05 each plus VAT. Alooy codes are mon2, mon25 or mon275 respectively.
Hope this is of help! I tell you what I'll do though! I'll go to Demon Tweeks tomorrow and take my digital camera and send you some piccies? Would that help?

Looks like 2.5" is the correct one and alloy is the material.

There are a few pictures in the Gallery of the chrome and alloy ones at Demon Tweeks. Had to shoot through a glass cabinet so some not great but I hope they are of help! Please let me know which are the right ones as i may change mine when I do the new paintjob (now you think you know the ulterior motive for my visit to Demon Tweeks today - but you'd be wrong!)
Cheers

The alloy ones look very similar to what I'm looking for. Normally they should have an internal thread in order to screw on the tank. However most of the ones I've seen fitted are soldered while some recommended soldering them using the stuff you use on electronic parts/circuits in order to avoid emptying the tank and making sure no gas vapor is present...
Cheers for the pictures Guy, how much are they?

Prices are per my earlier post in this thread. Plus carriage and VAT. I will look for similar at the show this weekend.

The folks who make the Monza cap also have the threaded fitting as a separate part to be brazed or soldered to your fuel tank neck.

Thanks Randle and Guy, I've ordered 2 in the US. I'm currently fitting a lightweight GR.4 rear section with round arches, my favorite, and these will complement it perfectly.
Cheers.

I purchased Monza caps from Demon Tweeks a while back and these look similar. Oerhaps the brass collar that comes with the cap can be machined so that it can screw into the gas tank neck. Now, where can I get a standard aluminum cap to fit an original Stratos?
