Hi, I finally picked up my Corse i, and would like to get the Aircon system fitted that came with the car (in boxes).
It is a NF Auto Development system.
The heater / evaporator unit is fitted and working as a heater / fan unit in the car, but needs the rest of the kit fitting.
I seem to have all I need apart from the compressor (Alfa 164) and I believe it also requires a small rad to fit in front of the main radiator.
Does anyone have experience or advice on fitting said system to a Stratos.
Cheers
Tim

Woo-hoo, collected your new toy...you lucky thang.
I've the same heater/air con kit that DaveH used and by the sound of it I have a few more parts of the kit.
When I get a mo, I'll give you a call to arrange some therapy...

Tim,
Yep - been there, done that. Hardest part by far is running the lines from front to back. I managed to hide mine inside the off-side 'sill' but it was hard graft. Worth it though I suppose. Receiver-dryer went on the front bulkhead. Charge ports are close to the compressor.
Condenser radiator is a tight fit. Put mine in front of the water radiator as one should. Can't guarantee mine is up to the job but the chap that charged the system for me said it looked about right.
I used a Nippon-Denso compressor that I happened to have. As I'm using a Beta motor at the moment I couldn't comment on available space with a V6.
Had my system commisioned/charged on the hottest day of last summer. Bear in mind that there was no body on the car at the time so it was trying to cool down Worcestershire. It still managed to blow nice cold air though and the pressures in the system were spot-on (apparently....).
But it sounds like you have a local helper there already.
