Ok, I know that it's been mentioned on the "Whats the next Consortium Project" thread but it has been suggested by Gerry that we consider this for our next project.
Jeff Davison has an original (as does Scott) and we have been offered one of these as a pattern if there is enough interest. So, anyone else interested? And, if there are only a few of us, what happened to all the old original ones that got swapped out? Is there someone out there sitting on a hoard they want to sell?

Somthing to keep in mind about the orignal Stratos wheel, if you should happen to find that hoard...

The mounting PCD is a bastard size. It's in between the diameters of the Momo / Fiat 124 and the Nardi / Personal mounting bolt patterns. Jeff's wheel came with the correct hub adapter, but mine didn't, so I'll need to make an adapter to fit it to a "standard" hole pattern, or make some modifications to a 124 hub.

If you make a reproduction, obviously, you can make sure that it has the Momo bolt pattern and simplify things greatly.:D

Incidentally, Guy, I thought you didn't care for the look of the stock steering wheel. Did you change your mind, or are you letting your quest for authenticity get the better of you? ;)

Or replicate the hub as well? No, I guess a standard Momo pattern is the best solution!

The original wouldn't be SVA compliant, would it?

Erm probably not. But I'm sure you could make a pad to cover the centre or use a Beta wheel until the SVA test was completed and swap later.

As well as needing a cover doesn't the boss need to be collapsible for the SVA as the column is rigid?
