As promised a while ago please find a break down of parts and costs to do the conversion, I may not have done it the cheapest or best way possible but heyho you pay your money and make your choice

4 to 5 stud conversion for a Transformer / Hawk

Front conversion Kit from Hawk cars (1 off)
Note wheel studs are M12 x 1.5 pitch

Front wheel bearings (2 off)
Complete kit – Quinten Hazell QWB242 which is equal to BK142
Comprising :-

Koyo UK - Hicap LM11949 and LM11910
NTN - GL4T-LM67048 and GL4T-LM67010

Rear wheel bearings (2 off)
Fiat Number 5890988 which is :-
SKF - BAH-0012 ITALY A M07 Y

Front Discs (2 off)
Tarox - Type SJ

Rear Discs (2 off)
Tarox - Type SJ
0781-0603 for Alfa

Rear drive hub 5 stud (2 off)
Fiat - 82466910
Before fitting check with old hubs, I found that there was an area of cast material which was not machined on the back face of the hub close to the dirt slinger this fouled the bearing housing and needs machining off.
Studs for rear drive hub are M12 x 1.25 pitch

Rear Pads (1 off)
Tarox - 0214

Front Pads (1 off)
Tarox - 0278

Splined Drive shaft with longer splined section (1 off each)
Lancia - GLO-3673/222
Lancia - GLO-3673/318
Before fitting check with old shafts around the area of the dirt slinger as I found that the additional material in this area fouled the hub bearing locking ring and this requires machining back to clear the bearing locking ring.

Drive shaft outer rubber boot (2 off)
Fiat - 060-1 or 060-3

M12 x 1.5 pitch dome nut (10 off)
GRYSN14
M12 x 1.25 pitch 80 long conversion stud (10 off)

The wheels I had were Image 3 piece so I got them to supply new centres and I retained the original rims.

Tarox discs are radially grooved and cross drilled .

The master cylinder is a 19mm bore unit which appears ok at the moment still on the same Fiat 132 servo

The hand brake stays the same .

All parts were delivery paid to my door. (this adds up !)

All prices may have changed by now, I started purchasing parts autumn 2003 .

If anyone tells my wife the costs they are dead meat !!!!

I am now off to France for a week so see you all later

Cheers

Bernard :D

Thanks Pal, that'll be a good one for reference one day when I get round to that part of the development plan.

Is it going in newsletter too?

Has anybody found a source of studs with M12x1.25 inner end and M12x1.5 outer end? I'd like to avoid having different nuts at the front and back (sounds too painful to contemplate  )
The ones advertised by Walkers Garage as someone recommended elsewhere are the other way round - 1.5 on the short end.walkers (http://www.tecno2.co.uk/wheelbits_listing.htm)

Are the different drive shafts essential?

If they are, I can't use the off the shelf 5 stud hubs on my car. Only Beta ones.

Are the 98mm pcd 5 stud hubs fitted to another production car besides the EVO Integrales?

ouch - PS Id like to confirm that the standard 164 brake setup - even using standard discs is man enough for most Jobs, uning decent pads (Ferodo DS 3000) I have ample braking ie can lock up at will and with no fade under race conditions.

?different drive shafts? - do you mean can you use the Alfa ones? Don't know on a Hawk, but somebody on the forum mentioned using Alfa CVs on a Corse.

The following use 98 pcd 5 stud. Fiat Ulysse, Lancia Integrale, Zeta, Kappa, Peugeot 806, Citroen Evasion (whatever that is), Alfa 164, 156.

Yes Chris,
That would be me. I'm using Alfa 164 engine, driveshafts, brake discs, calipers and hubs on my Corse Rear set up. Also using Alfa 164 discs and calipers on front but with 'purpose made' stub axles to suit the uprights.
Made life much easier that way.

I thought that they were Delta Evo wheel bearings, but that part number also comes up as a 164 2L part - can someone agree before I bid on it?
