Used but dirt cheap (currently $5). Can be rebuilt easily with parts from Moss Motors for less than $50. I rebuilt a used rack for my car. Seller will only ship to USA, but my offer to act as a forwarder still stands.

LHD racks can also be bought directly from Moss Motors for around $175. Quick Ratio racks are $400.

also try rimmer bros in the uk they list LHD racks and kits. I'm told Spitfire / GT6 are also the same but not as quick as standard Herald. http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/

The listings in the Rimmer Bros. catalogs show Herald and Spitfire Racks as the same part number for LHD. GT6 is a different number - pehaps it has a different ratio, or a different rack altogether?

Hi all contacted Rimmer Bros but there is a surecharge on left hand drive racks which make them £165 so still looking Regards Mark.

Hi all I have rang Rimmer Brothers and asked them if a Triumph Herald and Triumph Spitfire steering rack are the same ,they say not does anybody know this for sure? Regards Mark.

Their website said they were the same, or at least listed them under the same part number. Maybe it's a mistake on their site. Did they tell you what the differences were supposed to be?

Curious myself, since I have a Spitfire rack in mine, and all of the parts from Hawk seemed to fit.

I have been on to Rimmer Bros today and they are now saying the later Herald rack is the same as a spitfire but the early one is not but is very rare. the later one is approx 102cm with out track ends on .Regards Mark.
