not Stratos related, but kind of.
I am looking for a 132 diff.
Since the front hubs used in the Hawk are from that car, maybe there's a diff or two laying about?
I've got a 124 spider build planed using the 16v Abarth TC that was going into my Strat (Now a 308). I've heard that the 132 Diff is the one to use...Guy? any pearls of wisdom here?

I used a Lada Riva diff in my fiat spider, you can get a 3.9 : 1 ratio diff which is better than the standard 4.1 or 4.3.

Hi Jeff - this is a rumour I'd heard too, supposedly they are stronger than the Spider one as well - useful as they are known to blow. There are two types of axle/diff on the Spider and the parts are not interchangeable as far as I know. When I broke a Fiat Argenta (later squared off 132) I kept the diff just in case I should need it. The diff housing on the Argenta looked identical to the Spider so I am hopeful that I have a usable spare diff! Only time will tell if it will fit. The axles aren't interchangeable though, the 132 is a wider car.
If you struggle finding a 132 diff give me a call, I suspect that the Spider may have to go soon (right time to sell if I have to!) but the shipping on such a heavy item would be horrendous! Unless you are coming to Abingdon to collect it!
Cheers

Guy,
Thanks for the poop. If you do off the Spider, I am definatly interested.
Seeing that I have very little spent on my 124 so far and have been finding deals for bits here, the added expense for the diff's shipping shouldn't be so bad in relationship. I know the wheels will be a tidy sum when ready.
I am not in a hurry so a slow boat, least costly, guaranteed arrival postage would do fine. Any idea for shipping costs on the diff? on the wheels? I think you're still holding onto some left over monies from the wheel transaction.

Hi Jeff - no idea on either shipping price. I'll try to weigh the diff sometime which should give you an idea! Gerry will advise the shipping costs when the wheels are ready!
