Hawk seat belt mounting points

Does anyone know the thread details of the Hawk seat belt mounting points? I think it may be 7/16” UNF but as my stock of imperial fasteners is nil I’d like to confirm before ordering the wrong parts. Ideally I want to run a tap through them first as they are full of powder coat.

I thought that seat belt mounting points had a “special” thread to make sure the correct strength (high tensile) bolts are used.

Any ideas?

I'm almost 100% sure that they are 7/16" UNF. I asked Gerry last summer prior to ordering some seatbelts from Sparco, and that's what he said they were. The standard eyebolts that came with the seatbelts went right in.

The fine pitch 7/16" is the "special" thread you're thinking of. 7/16" is an unusual size to begin with, and the fine pitch is even more rare. I've never seen either in any home improvement or auto parts store.

The few times I've ever needed a 7/16" fastener, I've had to order it through a catalog, or stop off at a specialty hardware supplier.
