door handles (external)

For some reason, one corner on my Stratos door handle just chipped off - I found the pastic chip on the garage floor. Old age, I suppose. Is the Stratos external door handle identical to the Ferrari 308 or 328? Is there a source for new handles?

They are identical to the 308GT4 and some other cars which I don't recall right now.
They come up for sale from time to time on EBay...

The ones used are off an Fiat X1/9 , specialist breakers in the UK can supply them, complete with keys

Or try these - with no key they MAY go cheap and could be dismantled to provide a good replacement plastic backing for a good handle if the chrome on these is poor.

The X1/9 ones have a plastic casing while the Ferrari ones have a metal casing.

I can recommend Alternative Autos.
I got a pair...of X1/9...with matching keys (very lucky) from them about a year or so ago, they were very helpful.

Which begs the question - which type does the original Stratos have? If Abstamaria has broken a chuck of plastic off his original door handle I'd say that pretty much sorts it - must be the X1.9
